We are hiring full-time, year round Landscape Gardener's for a high-end residential estate in the Seattle area. This position is responsible for working as a member of a team to maintain the highest quality gardening practices and procedures. This is a hands-on position that may also be required to assist in other related duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Maintain/plant trees, shrubs, and perennials, hedges, climbing roses, vines and containers. •Handle seasonal lawn maintenance, leaf removal, edging and weeding.
•Assist in maintaining the greenhouse.
•Plant and maintain fruits and vegetables for growth and harvest.
•Maintain and assist to winterize irrigation.
•Groom paths, remove snow and ice from surrounding buildings and entry gate in winter.
•Help to clean, maintain and operate landscaping equipment.
•Assist with maintenance projects.
•Organize tables, seedlings, plants, changing out of plants and wash windows.
•Support and participate in other duties as determined necessary.
•Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, integrity and fulfillment of commitments.
Qualifications:
•HS diploma or GED and 1+ year gardening/landscaping experience.
•Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
•Ability to understand and speak English, write routine reports and correspondence.
•Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
•Strong attention to detail.
•Reliable and dependable.
•Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize tasks.
•Ability to effectively respond to requests and questions from managers, supervisors and co-workers.
