Overlake Golf & Country Club is a private, Audubon certified 18-hole golf course in Medina, WA. There are over 50 landscape beds on and around the golf course the landscaping department cares for. Landscaping beds include an herb garden, several evergreen and perennial beds, and seasonal annual displays around the clubhouse. The position of Assistant Horticulturist consists of helping and communicating with the Head Horticulturist of daily maintenance of these landscape grounds.
Duties:
- Daily clean up of clubhouse parking lot and surrounding areas
- Mow club house lawns
- Weeding of landscape beds
- Planting, watering, and mulching of beds and annual displays
- Fertilizing seasonal annuals, beds, and clubhouse lawns
- Pruning of shrubs and trees
- Care of indoor plants
- Help assist with seasonal summer worker
- Assist golf course with seasonal aerification
- Some weekend and summer tournament work required
Qualifications:
- Degree in Horticulture or related field
- Experience and knowledge in dealing with local plants and trees
- Strong work ethic

Note:
- This job does not include working on golf course grounds crew. There is no green, fairway, or rough mowing.
