We are looking for a free-lance repair person to service our fleet of 8 one ton trucks, performing routine oil and tune-up work, cleanup etc, maybe 5 hours a week. Greenhouse Asst. - $13.11/hr

Position: Greenhouse Assistant
Where: Douglas Research Conservatory
Center for Urban Horticulture
UW Botanic Gardens

When: Weekends & Holidays (coverage during holidays may be negotiable)
Additional hours Monday through Friday possible

Hours: 1 to 4 hours per day as needed/ time of day is flexible, but must account for plant needs

Main Duties:

1. Watering greenhouse, container nursery, Douglas Foyer and Merrill Commons’ plants; fertilization, weeding, lifting of fallen plants, etc.
2. Sanitation of containers.
3. Cleaning of greenhouse and headhouse work areas.
4. Checking on greenhouse equipment operation and reporting of malfunctions.
5. Other duties as assigned.

Pay: $13.11 per hour

Start Date: Saturday, September 22, 2007 or a.s.a.p. thereafter
End Date: This is an ongoing position, all year round.
