POSITION INFORMATION
The Spill Prevention, Preparedness, and Response Program (Spills Program) at the Department of Ecology has two vacancies for Spill Responder positions at the following locations:

· Bellingham Field Office, Bellingham, Washington
· Southwest Regional Office, Lacey, Washington

These positions are open for any qualified candidate to apply at the following levels:

College Career Graduate (Natural & Physical Sciences)
Environmental Specialist 2 (ES2)
Environmental Specialist 3 (ES3)

This position is designated in-training with a two step training plan. The successful candidate will complete the first twelve (12) month in-training plan as a College Career Graduate-Natural, Physical & Health Sciences $2547.00-$3311.00 per month (Range 39) plus 10% assignment pay. After successful completion of the in-training plan the employee automatically advances to the Environmental Specialist 2 level (ES2) $2799.00-$3653.00 (Range 43) plus 10% assignment pay. The successful candidate will then complete the second twelve (12) month in-training plan step as an Environmental Specialist 2. After successful completion the second step of the in-training plan the employee automatically advances to the Environmental Specialist 3 level (ES3) $3228.00-$4237.00 (Range 49) plus 10% assignment pay.
