Responsibilities ·Knowledgeably assist customers in selecting plants best suited to their landscape conditions and tastes ·Provide customers with garden design assistance ·Maintain an outstanding level of customer service ·Cashier ·Help keep the nursery running smoothly: o Help customers load purchases o Skilled watering o Stock displays o Plant care Job Details ·Full-time ·Includes weekend and/or evening work ·Pay DOE ·Benefits package available ·Non-smoking company ·Start date approximately September 1
Educational Requirements ·Minimum two-year degree in horticulture/landscape design or equivalent experience
Qualifications Required: ·Excellent knowledge of plant identification and care ·Skilled in landscape design ·Strong communication skills ·Upbeat approach to people and situations ·Flexible in daily routines, and open to learning new skills ·Able to lift 50 pounds ·Able to work weekends/evenings
Qualifications Preferred:
Merchandising skills a plus
