Position Duties
Perform a variety of semi-skilled work in forest road maintenance, reforestation, fire prevention and suppression, and build rough structures. Participate in a team that builds, maintains, and repairs facilities and structures on watershed lands. Use power and hand tools used in forestry and construction work, forest fire detection and suppression. Work outdoors in all types of weather and do extensive driving, lifting, carrying, and other heavy physical labor. Drive 10 yard dump trucks and pickups on gravel mountain roads. Work daily around construction equipment installing and cleaning culverts and maintaining roads. Operate chainsaws, brush saws and other related equipment.

Required Qualifications
Two years of experience in forestry, logging, road construction and maintenance, or closely related heavy outdoor work and at least two years of general construction experience. Washington State driver’s license.

Desired Qualifications
CDL Class B endorsement for driver’s license.
