Account Executive - $DOE

McConkey has opened the position of Account Executive to drive the launch of its new generation of automated watering products for the horticultural industry. The product, Quantum, helps greenhouse growers save water, improves the health of growers’ plants, and is the culmination of over twenty years of research. The position will be compensated by both a salary and a commission and will be primarily responsible for both developing a customer base across the United States and increasing sales with existing customers. Based on the compensation structure, excellent sales performers can earn six figures in this position.

The position will be responsible for:
• Generating new business with customers across the US, both by phone and in person
• Following up on leads and converting them to customers
• Attending and building our brand at relevant industry conferences
• Working with our sales engineer to develop quality solutions for customers
• Maintaining high quality relationships with customers to generate brand loyalty and follow-on sales

Candidates should have the following qualifications:
• A drive to succeed, to close sales, and to build warm, long-term relationships with customers
• An interest and background in the horticultural industry and/or equipment sales is preferred
• A desire to work in a culture that is both challenging, collegial, and performance oriented

The position is full-time and located at McConkey Company offices in Sumner, Washington.
