(www.davidpfeiffer.com) has an immediate opening for a landscape architect/designer to join our creative team. We are a small design firm focusing on high-level residential and estate design in the western U.S.
Job Description:
Full/Part time with flexible schedule. Must be able to commute and telecommute. Work at Vashon design studio, at your home and travel to job sites.
Specific responsibilities will include:
• Candidate will work with Managing Principal to generate landscape designs (2D & 3D) and full sets of plans/construction details for high-end residential landscape projects
• Project management
• Assisting with project estimates and budget tracking
• Creating 2D and 3D renderings by hand and computer
• Managing project folders (both physical and digital)
• Managing Garden Architecture library of digital content (SketchUp models, AutoCAD blocks, etc.)
• Working (hands-on) in Award-winning Vashon garden.
Qualifications: Candidate should be a motivated, self-starter who collaborates well with others and posses good communication skills. We are looking for someone who takes pride in high quality work and possess excellent skills with both software and illustration. Must possess a strong architectural/horticultural design style. Experience with custom outdoor furniture design also desirable.
Candidates must have:
• MINIMUM of 5 years of experience with AutoCAD
• Proficiency with Windows software, Photoshop and SketchUp
• Freehand drawing/ illustration skills.
• Strong planting design/horticulture experience
Compensation is dependent on experience.
