Grounds & Facilities Administrator - $DOE

We are currently looking to fill this position for one of our largest clients.
Acting under the direction of the General Manager, the Grounds and Facilities Administrator is responsible for over sight of a variety of ground maintenance activities including landscape, irrigation, general property repairs and amenities. Grounds and Facilities Administrator required to prioritize work, and report status of projects to the General Manager, boards and member committees.

• Grounds and Facilities Administrator shall be experienced in landscape maintenance and shall have adequate knowledge of ornamental horticulture and integrated pest management (IPM) practices.
• Manage and coordinate projects within the community
• Assist General Manager with recommendations and justifications for annual budget planning, preparation and implementation. Monitor and control budget expenditures.
• Monitor all aspects of community pond system and coordinate required inspections with King County.
• Oversight of irrigation operation, inspection, and repairs, including Maxicom System.
• Maintain courteous communication with residents, business partners, applicants, vendors, King County, Developer/construction staff, CDC Management, Blue Star Resort operator and staff
• Able to frequently and safely lift heavy objects up to fifty pounds.
• Stand, walk or bend for extended periods of time.
• Bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate equipment
• Able to work at heights of 30 feet or more (observe roof, gutter systems, etc.)
• Able to perform physical outdoor work in all types of weather
• Able to write the scopes, prepare RFP’s coordinate repair work and project completion.
• Select and recommend best vendors, provide best practices landscape and maintenance expertise.
• Read, write and communicate in English in order to exchange information in person and on the telephone and/or radio equipment.
• Good attention to detail
• Able to work as part of a team
• Proficient with MS Office applications especially Excel.
• May be placed on call for emergencies or snow removal

Licenses and Other Requirements:
Must possess and maintain a valid Washington State Driver’s License and fully insurable driving record.
State of Washington First Aid Certificate or obtain one within thirty days after appointment to position
Maxicom Systems knowledge desirable.
