POSITION INFORMATION:
There is one current vacancy with the Department of Ecology, Water
Quality Program in the Central Region Office located in Yakima,
Washington. This internship is funded from June 21, 2007 to September
21, 2007.

This position may be filled at the Environmental Intern 1, 2 or 3 level
depending on qualifications.
This position will be assigned several areas of responsibility -
1.) Contribute to and complete a section of the GIS database tracking
TMDL implementation in the region.
2.) Assist with public outreach and education to both schools and the
general public.
3.) Assist in water quality sampling and assure samples are collected
and handled in accordance with DOE protocols.
4.) Assist the Central Regional Office TMDL staff in accomplishing
education and outreach duties regarding the Yakima Area Creeks Bacteria
TMDL, the Yakima River Toxics TMDL and the Naches River Watershed
Temperature TMDL.
