Tree Service Grounds Crew - $12-15/hr

Seattle area tree service company (http://www.treecycleseattle.com) that meets in Fremont at 8am M-F is looking for a ground crew worker.

Must be able to lift heavy, random pieces of wood. Work is 7-9 hours a day rain or shine (40+ hours/week with time and a half overtime paid).

Must be a US Citizen or eligible to work in the US.

Must be able to provide your own sturdy boots and work gloves.

Pay rate is $12-$15 an hour DOE. Non-smoker desirable.

Previous pruning/landscaping experience a plus.

Position Description

o Managing cost reports, analyzing budget variances, and recommending strategies to lower project costs; reviewing labor quantities and phases to facilitate accurate project tracking.

o Assisting in the preparation of change orders and coordinating receivables and collections with office administrative management team.
o Serving as the main point of contact and trusted advisor to customer on project installation issues.

Garden Constrution - $14/hr+

Healthy Gardens Landscape and Design seeks a creative garden craftsmen for installations and garden maintenance (but no lawn mowing).

Our specialty is in creating and maintaining beautiful and useful spaces for our clients using good garden design, high quality materials and plants, and an ecological and natural approach. Stonework predominates in the landscape construction of our gardens, balanced by good horticulture on the plant side. We are a small Edmonds based company, with gardens mainly in the greater Seattle area, with some on the east side and north of Seattle. 2009 will mark our 20th year of success.

You must have professional experience with stonework and other mediums of landscape construction, as well as strong experience with garden plants and their care, including appropriate pruning, planting, weeding, and mulching. Experience with carpentry, concrete work, nursery work and irrigation (drip & conventional) are a big plus, as is good common sense and an excellent work ethic. Must be physically strong, intelligent, positive, and healthy (able to lift at least 50lbs regularly) as well as motivated to learn and excel in this noble craft.

This is a permanent position and we have work the year round, and in all weather.
