Office Assistant/Project Coordinator - $DOE

Office Assistant /Project Coordinator with Horticulture Degree

General Contractor specializing in earth work, site preparation, and related activities is seeking a full time office assistant with a degree in horticulture.

Experience in construction and/or general office work is preferred, as is an intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Professional. Individual must be a flexible team player, and must share vital information among associates. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a sometimes stressful environment is a requirement.

The primary function is to assist the Construction Manager(s) and Nursery Sales Manager. Duties involved include, but are not limited to:

􀂃 Update and maintain nursery inventory documents. Perform nursery stock and plant availability searches. Issue invoices and purchase orders for plant sales. Assist Sales Manager or nursery personnel in the field, when required. Arrange for transport of plants or equipment between Canadian and US borders.

􀂃 Preparation of correspondence between Contractor, subcontractors, engineers,
architects, awarding agencies, lawyers, et al. Preparation and maintenance of master contract and files for all projects. Preparation, review, and transmission of purchase orders, subcontracts and change orders for projects. Update and distribution of drawing revisions from owners and engineers to superintendents and subcontractors. Recording and updating various daily and weekly reports.

􀂃 Answering phone calls and taking messages. Assisting applicants, employees and visitors. Driving company vehicle for job related errands. Keeping the office well organized and clean. Participating as needed in special assignments.
