Farm Wholesale Cashier: (Two Positions Available)

Summary:
The Wholesale Cashiers at Molbak’s Plant Farm are responsible for providing friendly, efficient, and accurate service to wholesale customers. Our Wholesale Cashier is not only highly knowledgeable about wholesale operations, but also familiar with the plants and products offered at the Farm, our daily and seasonal specials, as well as the needs of our wholesale customers. Cashiers are key customer service providers whose interaction with each person who shops at Molbak’s Plant Farm results in that customer’s complete satisfaction.

Primary Areas of Responsibility:
· Providing quality customer service to Wholesale customers
· Opening Wholesale Cashier area and registers at the beginning of the day.
· Contacting wholesale customers as needed, providing timely information and promoting Molbak’s wholesale services
· Coordinate with the Plants Division Managers, Leads and on commercial customer plant needs
· Signing up new accounts
· Providing general information, prices, policies, cultural care, and plant availability to customers
· Closing Wholesale Cashier area and registers at the end of the day
· Maintaining a clean and neat environment around the wholesale area.
· Setting up deliveries of wholesale purchases as needed
· Requesting and posting signage in the Wholesale area.
· Processing all paperwork related to commercial customer accounts and sales.

Minimum Requirements:
· Horticulture degree preferred
· 2-3 Years nursery/plant experience
· Working knowledge of Wholesale/Commercial/Retail functions
· Ability to work well in a team environment with excellent interpersonal skills
· Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to individuals at all levels
· Previous cashiering experience
· Solid computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office, Excel, Access and Word in particular
· Ability to manage a multi-line phone
· Ability to work standing, walking, bending and lifting over the course of a standard work day
· Ability to repeatedly lift and move up to 30 lbs.

Work Environment:
· Indoor and outdoor nursery and greenhouse environment
· Some exposure to extremes in weather and temperature
· Standard office environment
