We are hiring 2 full-time, year round Landscape Gardener's for a high-end residential estate in the Seattle area. This position is responsible for working as a member of a team to maintain the highest quality gardening practices and procedures. This is a hands-on position that may also be required to assist in other related duties. Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain/plant trees, shrubs, perennials, hedges, climbing roses, vines and containers. Handle seasonal lawn maintenance, leaf removal, edging and weeding. Maintain the greenhouse. Plant and maintain fruits and vegetables for growth and harvest. Maintain and assist to winterize irrigation. Groom paths, remove snow and ice from surrounding all buildings and entry gate in winter. Help to clean, maintain and operate landscaping equipment. Assist with maintenance projects. Organize tables, seedlings, plants, changing out of plants and wash windows. Support and participate in other duties as determined necessary.

Qualifications: HS diploma or GED and 1+ years gardening/landscaping experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to understand and speak English. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight, measurement, volume and distance. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Strong attention to detail. Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Reliable and dependable. Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to effectively respond to requests and questions from managers, supervisors and co-workers.

Landscape Enhancement Estimator * This job is the foundation for a career path that leads to a Project Manager role. Do you have strong plant knowledge and design skills? Can you provide our clients with a professional landscape drawing? Are you able to take that design and estimate the costs and provide the client with a winning landscape enhancement proposal? Do you have the technical skills to work with the crew and oversee the work to its completion? Can you walk the job with the client to assure the work is done to spec?
REQUISITE SKILLS:
Excellent communication skills (Spanish fluency preferred)
Computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Strong knowledge of plant palette for Northwest landscapes
Plant selection & landscape design/graphic skills
Field experience in the following arenas: blue print reading, plant installations, paver and keystone block wall installations, soil grading, sod installations, truck & trailer use, use of landscape construction equipment
