Landscape Maint. Crew Member - $10/hr+ DOE

Work Schedule: varying 4 days within M-F 7AM - 6 PM
Hours per Week: 30-40
*Wage/Salary: 10+ DOE

Benefits: Medical and dental after 3 full months of employment. Performance based incentive bonus and performance based paid time off

*Job Description:
• Pruning appropriate to the season
• Raking and cleaning garden beds
• Powersweeping
• New plant installation
• Providing maintenance appropriate to the season

*Qualifications Required:
* Landscape maintenance experience
• Good work ethic, calling in sick when not actually ill is not considered good work ethic
• On time – you often show up early to allow for delays in travel
• Personable – work well with others as a team
• Good communication – ability to talk with clients and crew members, communicate clearly in English
• Professional appearance – clean clothing without holes (shirt, sweatshirt and jacket uniforms supplied)
• Ability to work outside in the elements year round
• Physical capabilities include lifting buckets of debris up over shoulder
• Passion for landscaping – landscaping is your career path, not a short term job. You have a love and understanding for working outdoors – rain, shine or snow, and you are not planning to ‘try-out’ this line of work just to see if you like it or as something to do before moving on to your true passion or school
• Detail oriented – you have an eye for impeccable work and continue to strive for it
• Stamina – you can keep up the pace throughout a 10 hour work day
• Constructive criticism – you are able to take direction from Crew Leaders and Account Managers and use the information to learn and grow, understanding our goal is to please the client while promoting sound horticultural practices
• Driving experience, valid driver’s license and a clean 3-year driving record – must show proof of prior to interview

Qualifications Preferred:
2+ years experience with landscape maintenance
5 years driving experience

Volunteer - Seattle Tilth

Volunteer with Seattle Tilth as we present the Harvest Fair on Saturday, September 11, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Opportunities include assisting in the children’s garden, helping with set-up/ clean up, photographing the event, and much more! Join us in celebrating urban agriculture at this community festival and enjoy free snacks, camaraderie, the volunteer party, and help create a lively, wonderful event!
